for non EU Applicants a valid visa is required

EU applicants do not require an Au pair Visa but in some Countries like Germany, France and Austria they require a work permit

Au pair applicants from USA, New Zealand, Canada, Australia and Japan can be Au pairs without Au pair visa in most EU countries

must be single and have no kids
